My mother once brought home a few bracelets from her work, church friends, or mahjong buddies #LOL; and ended up giving me one. With spring time around the corner-filled with brighter skies of joy, till this day, I believe it’s a great charity to give back to.

This goes without saying, many countries have actually picked this idea up. With that said, I don’t intend on being biased to one country.

To sum it up, The Threads of Hope is a non-profit organization that offers the chance for underprivileged Filipinos to earn their keep for a better way of life. These families create quirky, bright, fashionable bracelets to be sold around the world. At the same time, by doing so, it gives children an educational opportunity to learn money management, hard-work, strength and hope.

You can sort of say, it’s like selling Girl Scout cookies.

This organization was started by Alex and Chris Kuhlow.
